The Cobol compiler now supports REDEFINES acting on a table, which is prohibited by the ISO standard but allowed by some Micro Focus COBOL dialects. A new warning option, Wredefines-table, is introduced to control this behavior, defaulting to off when the ‘-dialect mf’ option is used.
