Wiring it up
1 Clone the repository and install the Python dependencies.
git clone https://github.com/zakaria1193/Digestware
cd Digestware
pip install -r agents/requirements.txt 2 Build the index from the published archive. This needs no API key and takes about ten seconds.
python -m agents.index.build --full --no-embeddings 3 Register the server with your agent.
claude mcp add pulse -- python -m agents.mcp.server
Search works on exact terms out of the box. Setting EMBEDDING_API_KEY and
rebuilding without --no-embeddings adds semantic matching, for when you can
only describe a symptom rather than name it.
What it answers
search_changes- Hybrid search across commits and threads, filtered by subsystem, date, or outcome.
find_by_symbol- Exact lookup of a function, file path, flag, relocation or PR number.
suspects- Changes plausibly related to a regression symptom, weighted toward the recent.
timeline- Chronological activity for one subsystem or a single patch series.
get_change- One article in full — by commit SHA, discussion id, or URL.
related_discussion- The mailing-list thread behind a landed commit.
corpus_info- What the archive covers, so an agent knows when not to answer.
