dg-extract-results scripts can read file lists from stdin
Test result extraction scripts now support reading file lists from stdin to overcome command-line length limits.
The dg-extract-results.sh and dg-extract-results.py scripts gain a new option to read the list of files to process from standard input or a file. This change is crucial for GDB’s testsuite on Windows, where a large number of output files can exceed command-line length limits, causing the script execution to fail.
In Details
dg-extract-results.{sh,py} are utilities for combining test summary and log files. The previous implementation took file paths as command-line arguments. GDB's testsuite, particularly on Windows, generates thousands of such files, leading to 'Argument list too long' errors. This commit adds support for a '-f' option, allowing file lists to be piped in via stdin or read from a file, mitigating the command-line length limitation.
