gcc
testsuite, x86, Darwin: Set non-PIC option for ia32 tests
Fixes i386 Darwin testsuite failures by explicitly setting non-PIC option where needed.
Several test cases in the i386 Darwin testsuite were failing because they assumed a non-PIC (Position Independent Code) default, which differs from Darwin’s default PIC. This change applies the -mdynamic-no-pic option to these specific tests, aligning their build environment with the expected behavior and resolving the test failures.
For Context
- PIC
- Position Independent Code. Code that can be loaded and executed at any memory address without modification. Often required for shared libraries.
- ia32
- Intel Architecture 32-bit, referring to the x86 instruction set architecture for 32-bit processors.
- Darwin
- The Unix-like operating system developed by Apple, serving as the foundation for macOS, iOS, and other Apple platforms. GCC's Darwin target often has different defaults than Linux.
