Add gfx1154 target to GCN support.
Adds support for the gfx1154 hardware target, which is part of the gfx11-generic family.
This commit introduces support for the gfx1154 hardware target within the GCN (Graphics Core Next) compiler backend. Since gfx1154 is a variant belonging to the gfx11-generic family, basic support could be integrated with minimal effort. This expansion allows GCC to generate code for this specific AMD GPU architecture.
In Details
The config/gcn/gcn-devices.def and config/gcn/gcn-tables.opt files are updated to include gfx1154 as a supported GCN target. This entry signifies a new hardware variant for AMD's Graphics Core Next architecture. As gfx1154 is a member of the gfx11-generic family, it inherits much of its underlying architecture and instruction set, simplifying its integration into the existing GCN backend.
- GCN
- Graphics Core Next is AMD's architecture for its discrete GPUs. GCC's GCN backend targets these GPUs for compute shaders and other GPGPU workloads.
- gfx1154
- A specific hardware target identifier for an AMD GPU based on the CDNA 3 architecture, falling under the broader gfx11-generic family.
- backend
- In a compiler, the backend (or code generator) is responsible for translating the compiler's intermediate representation into machine code for a specific target architecture.
